Modern Issues with People and the Earth
Imagine, there's a forest with dainty flowers spread all over like a blanket. Also, there are trees covering animals eating food such as plants and berries that delights their stomachs, while drinking clean water. Plus, the animals are breathing fresh air around their healthy environment.
Meanwhile, in another forest, the ground is rumbling from evil machines destroying any trees or plants, replacing it with houses, corporate buildings or factories built from construction. They're also letting pollution get inside the once natural forest while animals that once lived there either died from pollution or had to move in search of another habitat.
"One individual cannot possibly make a difference, alone. It is individual efforts, collectively, that makes a noticeable difference—all the difference in the world!”— Dr. Jane Goodall, DBE, primatologist. This means that every single person should give a helping hand in our world. But not just by ourselves, by collaborating with each other to make positive change in our problematic

REASONS WHY WE SHOULD CARE
1. We're destroying much of our natural resources that we use in a day to day basis
2. We also impact animals negatively
Evidence for Reason #1
https://people.uwec.edu/ explains, "With our ever growing population the demand for natural resources such as oil, water, land, and timber is constantly increasing and without proper planning we run the risk of not only exhausting the supply of these resources, but also increasing the possibility of creating environmental hazards, especially in the state of Washington." This means that by not using our resources properly then we're threatening our VERY existence by limiting our resources.
Evidence for Reason #2
Seattletimes.com explains, salmon "...are declining in a major way. Historically, adult salmon returns to the Columbia Basin were at least 10 to 16 million fish annually — today, across the Northwest, less than 5 percent of historic populations of wild salmon and steelhead return to our rivers and streams. Fifteen different salmon and steelhead stocks in Washington state are listed under the federal Endangered Species Act today." That is an effect from the cause of deforestation because animals such as salmon depend on trees and rivers because that's a part of their habitat. Which means that by destroying trees and forests, people will a negative domino effect by effecting a TON of animals to be non-existent, if this problem gets worse.
